The record-high wagering amount in October 2021 was $1.30 billion, and this statistic represents a decrease of 18.1% for players. Online orders accounted for $987.6 million, while in-store purchases accounted for the remaining $72.6 million.

With $45.4 million in sports betting revenue, an increase of 3.0%, the Meadowlands maintained its dominant position in the industry, thanks to a FanDuel betting skin. Resorts Digital, which has a partnership with DraftKings, came in second with $17.2m, an increase of 8.0%.

With $9.5 million, an increase of 18.7 percent, the Borgata, a partner of BetMGM, was the sole operator to achieve a market share of more than 3 percent.

Overall revenue dropped significantly, even if it rose for the market leaders. This was due to the fact that most of the other brands saw their sales fall.

Profit at the online casino, however, jumped 15.9% to $147.2m. Some $2.2 million came from P2P games like poker, while the remaining portion came from games that were banked by the house.

 Resorts Digital (whose partners include DraftKings and contributed in $39.3m in revenue) and FanDuel partner Golden Nugget (which brought in $38.4m) presented formidable challenges to the Borgata, which again counts BetMGM among its skins, and ranked first with $41.0m in revenue, an increase of 5.6%.

To $220.6m, total income fell 7.1% on the land-based side. Slot machines contributed $166.2m, a decline of 7.3%, while table games contributed $54.4m, a decline of 6.6%.

Hard Rock came in second with $39.0 million, while the Borgata took home $62.5 million.

A total of $45.5 million was provided in taxes by operators. This comprised $22.1 million from the 15% internet casino tax and $13.5 million from the 8% land-based casino tax.

Retail betting taxes took in an additional $359,774, and the 13% tax on online sports betting raked in $9.5 million.
