High House in Blue, okay According to the Dutch KSA, the player was given nine separate access tokens to the Merkur Casino. From February 17, 2022, to March 2, 2022, these occurrences transpired. Cruks, the self-exclusion registry in the Netherlands, has the player's information.

Article 30, paragraph 1.b of the KOA, the gaming law of the Netherlands, is violated by this.

The casino staff was unable to determine if the player was Cruks registered since they got an error message while trying to view the player's self-exclusion status.

Despite being registered with Cruks, the player was able to join Merkur Casino in Almere on 23 March, so they wrote to the regulator to let them know. The next day, KSA initiated an investigation into the incidents after following up with the player.

The player's one-year contract with Cruks was made public on October 16, 2021. On October 15, 2022, this self-exclusion was supposed to be lifted.

Penalty money
After the investigation was concluded, KSA decided to sentence the defendant €45,000.

On 24 November 2022, KSA informed Merkur that they could challenge the publishing of the sanction. The sentence was eventually made public, even though Merkur lodged the contestation on January 11, 2023.

The sanction might be challenged through an appeal.

A revised version of Cruks was released last month by KSA, facilitating the temporary self-exclusion of players.
